A Small Window

A small window into the life of one of the students:

We are 5 in my family. My father is the pastor he have no any income when I was in primary school, my parents decide to take me to my grandfather, my grandfather was a drinker he come home late and sometimes chased us out of home, was hard to stay there, I have stayed there up to the standard seven where I come back to my parents. My father heard about Return Home Secondary school, I am happy that I am studying here. Teachers are very welcoming sometimes if my parents cannot support me for small needs I get here at school. I like mathematics.

(Rose and Wilson named the school Aang Secondary which in Maasai means Return Home. Their desire is for the students to use their education to help their families and community.)
