Fuel Station Up and Running

March 30, 2022 was the grand opening! And grand it was.

According to Wilson it was a short ceremony. Understand, “short” meant five-plus hours of speeches, gift giving, singing, and dancing followed by ribbon cutting, food for all and general hanging out. This event even warranted the slaughter of a cow!

Among the ten persons who spoke, Rose explained how the revenues would support the secondary school. Wilson spoke of Jesus, and a local pastor offered a prayer. A former member of Parliament was the featured guest and officials from other districts came to check this thing out. Student representatives presented Maasai shukas (Maasai clothing) to honored guests. The community members expressed gratitude and remarked that when the children become educated, changes like this are possible. Wilson and Rose are the example. Rain – considered a great blessing – was the finishing touch.

May this business provide local funding for the school for decades to come!
